Nilima Adhikari is a Nepali educator, journalist, and social advocate with over a decade of professional experience spanning media, education, and community development. As co-founder of IRSC, she is committed to fostering research, dialogue, and action on critical global issues—especially those impacting marginalized communities in South Asia.
Currently serving as a Valley Reporter for The Rising Nepal, Nepal’s leading English-language national daily under Gorkhapatra Corporation, Nilima covers social justice, civic governance, environmental change, and gender equity from the ground level. Her work consistently bridges academic insight with field realities.
Nilima holds an MPhil in English Literature from Pokhara University. Her scholarly focus on gender representation in contemporary Nepali literature informs both her writing and her activism. She has taught English at multiple institutions across Nepal, including Kathmandu Model College, Nobel Academy, and public schools in Chitwan and Dang.Her early work with the National Disabled Fund, a wing of Nepal’s Social Welfare Council, laid the foundation for her lifelong commitment to equity and empowerment.
