Sushil Ghimire is a Fellow Chartered Accountant, finance expert, and public accountability advocate with over 15 years of professional experience across the public, private, and development sectors. He is a co-founder of IRSC, where he brings deep expertise in financial governance, compliance, and institutional capacity development to advance the organization’s mission of inclusive policy research and responsible development.
Sushil is the Founder & Managing Partner of Sushil & Associates, a Chartered Accountancy firm registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN). He has led major financial audits, internal control assessments, and due diligence reviews for government enterprises, private companies, and nonprofit organizations, including those appointed by the Office of the Auditor General of Nepal. With dual Chartered Accountancy credentials from ICAN (Nepal) and ICAI (India), and a Master’s in Philosophy from Tribhuvan University, he is widely regarded for his precision, integrity, and insight into Nepal’s evolving financial and regulatory landscape.
His expertise is also grounded in leadership at the national level, having served as a Board Member of Rastriya Banijya Bank Ltd., one of Nepal’s largest government-owned commercial banks. In this role, he provided strategic oversight on governance, audit compliance, and risk management. Additionally, he was appointed by the Government of Nepal as a Member of the Audit Bureau of Circulation, under the Press Council Nepal, where he helped regulate and verify circulation claims of major media outlets to ensure transparency in advertising metrics.
He has also served as Vice-president of The Association of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ACAN).
